Mobile Design:
Random Pairs

Background

This project was given to the Mobile Design class that I taught at Virginia Tech. The class was predominantly seniors, with a couple of juniors, and a few sophomores.

Description

Students selected two folded slips of paper. Each slip of paper had a word on it. When paired together, these words were random, unrelated, and strange. No matter how ridiculous, this was their starting point. Example random pairs include: toxic + diet, suspicious + take-out, and trap + epidemic.

Students presented their concepts and prototypes in class. Click the images or links to view the students' process presentations.
